・主人公は複数存在する&br()アメリカ陸軍第75レンジャー連隊第1大隊所属の「Dante Adams（ダンテ・アダムス）特技兵」&br()AH-64 アパッチのパイロット「Brad "Hawk" Hawkins（ブラッド "ホーク" ホーキンス）大尉」&br()AFO Neptune所属の「Rabbit（ラビット）」&br()AFO Wolfpack所属の「Deuce（デュース）」の4人（後者2人はTier 1オペレーター）
・ヘリコプターなど兵器を操縦するステージがある。
・体勢アクションに「伏せ」がある。
・リーン（覗き込み）を搭載。
・攻撃方向を示すインジケーターや発砲を止めるとフェードする単純な弾薬カウンターを持つが、HUDはほとんど表示されない。
・サウンド、衝撃効果、破壊可能な背景、満足のいくナイフキル、堅実で現実的なアクション。

・難易度はイージー、ノーマル、ハード、Tier 1モードの4つ。Tire 1モードでは途中でセーブ（チェックポイント？）が入らなくなる。
・一部の武器はセミオートとフルオートを切り替えられる。
・弾薬は味方兵に近づいて要求することで補充できるが、鹵獲した武器（AK-47など）は「弾薬が違う」という理由で補充できない。
・武器選択ボタンを2連打すれば素早く拳銃を構えることが可能
・ナイフ攻撃をするために格闘ボタンを押した際、距離が僅かに離れている場合は代わりに拳銃を抜き敵に1発だけ撃ち込むことが可能そのまま引き金を引き続ければ接近しつつ連続で発砲
・ステージ名は実績名・トロフィー名により全10ステージであることが判明。

・開発元はEA Digital Illusions CE（EA DICE）。

HMV ONLINEで予約購入すると元イギリス陸軍SASのクリス・ライアン（Chris Ryan）著のMOH2010本編の前日談を描いた小説が独占特典として付属する。

クライアントはマルチランゲージで、インストール時に日本語を選ぶことができる。
ゲーム内音声は日本語or英語をオプションにて設定することができるようになっているが、本クライアントでは現在設定は変えられない模様。
ベータテストでプレイできるマップは「Shahikot Mountain（Combat Mission用）」と「Kunar Base（Sector Control用）」の2つ。
