Dreaming Rapture-ラプチャーを夢見る
Andrew Ryan wakes one night while cruising the Atlantic in his steam-liner, the Olympian, his sleep interrupted with a singular purpose.
アンドリュー・ライアンが蒸気船オリンピアで大西洋をクルージング中のある夜、彼の睡眠は稀に見る目的を伴って中断された。
"Here!" he shouts to his crewmen as he wipes sleep from his eyes, Full stop.

Traveling the Distance-旅の道のり
"Refitted for heavy construction, the Olympian returns with a new cargo: a state of the art submersible platform, nicknamed 'the Sinker'
ferry supplies and crewmen to the seafloor, fathoms below."

Laying the Foundation-基礎ができる
"After initial supplies have been brought to the seafloor the platform is permanently moored in the sediment.

Massive iron girders are sunk hundreds of feet into the rock and silt.

Below the platform engineers work to overcome obstacles, such as diamond hard rock, obstinate sea-life, and unexpected casualties."

My name is Andrew Ryan, and I built the city of Rapture for children just like you.

But here, beneath the ocean, it is natural to wonder if the danger has passed"

農夫の展示
On the surface, the farmer tills the soils, trading the strength of his arm for a whole land of his own.
地上では、農夫が自分の腕の力だけで彼の土地にある全ての土を耕している。
But the parasites say "NO! What is yours is ours! We are the state, we are God, we demand our share."
しかし、寄生虫は言う「いいや！お前のものは我々のもの！神である我々にもよこせ！」
科学者の展示
On the surface, the scientist invests the power of his mind in a single miraculous idea and naturally begins to rise above his fellows.
地上では、科学者が自身の奇跡的なアイデアを彼自身の力として費やし、自然に彼の仲間より上昇する。
But the parasites say "NO! Discovery must be regulated! It must be controlled and finally surrendered."
しかし、寄生虫は言う「いいや！発見は規制すべきだ！それを制御して、最終的には明け渡さなければならない！」
芸術家の展示
On the surface, an artist tries to frame his ideals in an image, to challenge his audience and make his vision immortal.
地上では、芸術家はイメージによる彼の理想を縁どり、聴衆に挑戦して自身のビジョンを不滅にしようとする。
But the parasites say "NO! Your art must serve the cause! Your ideals endanger the people!"
しかし、寄生虫は言う「いいや！お前の芸術の原因を提供しろ！お前の理想は危険だ！」
家族の展示
On the surface, your parents sought a private life, using their great talents to provide for you.
地上では
They learned to twist the lies of church and government, believing themselves masters of the system.
彼らは、自分たちがシステムのマスターであると信じている教会と政府の偽りをねじることを学んだ。
But the parasites say "NO! The child has a duty! He'll go to war and die for the nation."
しかし、寄生虫は言う「いいや！子供には義務がある！戦争に行き、国のために死ぬのだ！」
